We love it here, you will too!
Welcome to our Greenlee Cottages.
Greenlee Cottages can be found in the Canungra Valley 12 km south of the small town of Canungra.
The cottages have a backdrop of Greenlee Farm macadamia orchard which is on the hills of the Darlington Range. One of the property boundaries is Canungra Creek which has a permanent water flow with headwaters beginning in the Lamington National Park.
Canungra and surrounding areas were popular for woodcutting during the commencing in the 1880s. Timbers that wereregularly felled were silky oaks, hoop pines and red cedar. On our property you are able to see stands of these trees which have regrown over many years.
The local township of Canungra had a sawmill where the timbers would be carted by bullock and cart or by locomotive. Much of this history is documented in the Canungra Visitor Information Centre. It is our hope that you will gain an understanding of what a vibrant timber industry existed in the pioneering days of the Canungra area.
Greenlee Cottages are located at Greenlee Farm http://greenleefarm.com.au (for more information), which is a working macadamia farm.
The names of our cottages – Silky Oak, Callistemon, Woodcutters and Casuarina – are in recognition of some of the most common timbers currently found on our property.
To find Greenlee Cottages we are only a 50 minute drive from the Gold Coast or 60 minute drive from Brisbane. You will find yourself immersed in a totally relaxed environment.
